In our house, we have watched The Incredibles sand The Incredibles ii more than a hundred times (and I wish I were exaggerating). We moved on to (or back to?) Frozen and Let it Go is playing like a skipping record player in my mind while I dream. If I watch it one more time, I might pull my own hair out.
So today I’ve decided to take matters into my own hands, and take a trip down memory lane back to my own childhood and the movies I watched on repeat. I've made a list, and I have decided that is no better time to introduce my children to the movies that likely made my parents crazy.
I’m not sure if I or my kids will like these better, but a little nostalgia for me and a little “classical education” for them will do us all some good.
What awesome flicks am I forgetting?
- The Land Before Time
- Mary Poppins (the original)
- Charlotte’s Web
- An American Tale
- The Princess Bride (maybe I’ll wait on this one a bit, they’re still a bit young, but it’s absolutely my all-time favorite movie from childhood.)
- Lady & The Tramp
